Look at the pretty blue "gilded" bead on the bottom! That bead was my latest find, and it just needed to be made into something. I'd given all but a worn-out Evenstar pendant to friends, so I went ahead and made a new one for myself. (The top bead got turned around backwards... I didn't realize it until I had the wire pulled tight.)
I love secrets. I love cubbies, I love passageways, treasure boxes, magnifying glasses, and dusty attics.
And I love keys.
So I thought I'd put some sweet key charms from Walmart on earrings.
As it turns out, the earrings were very long, and I would never wear them. So I took them apart, but not before snagging a picture:

Czeck glass leaves! These are gathered from various bead sets. I don't know why, but leaf beads are so inspiring. You can see them put to good use in my Evenstar Pendant. And they just look so pretty piled all over one another. ^_^
Think chainmaille is difficult? You're right! It is about as complicated as it looks. This thing was my third attempt at a really cool design, and I never figured it out.
Very small, simple, and charming. Made from a cats-eye bead and a metal flower I picked up at this tiny, garage-sale-like shoppe down in St. James.
August's Ink & Fairydust is out!
This issue is all about fantasy and sci-fi.
And I have several exciting things to share with you:
Ink & Fairydust now has its own website: www.InkAndFairydust.com
Ink & Fairydust is now on Facebook. Please, please fan us!
Guess whose artwork is on the cover? It was a great honor to get to do it!
I am now being published as Shaylynn Rackers. (FYI, I was "Nenetta" in all previous issues.)
I have an article on Subcreation. Please read the article-- it is (hopefully) informative about the role that imagination plays, and how it is a God-given gift. Why do stories about fantasical things ring at such a deep and resounding level? Go read me article. ^_^
Of course, my montly Art Column and Comic are in there.
I'm now part of the graphics team! YAY! So far I've only done some text-dropping. Unfortunately I won't be able to help out again until we are moved into the new house.
Of course, I want you to read through the whole thing. My poor little article pales in comparison to some of the gems by the geniuses writing here!
Ok... I was SO SURE I had already done a post on these earrings... I made them a very long time ago... but for the life of me I can't find the post.
I was going to add a new picture to said previous post, but instead I am going to make a new one, for my favorite pair of earrings!
They are made with 3 dangling Czech glass leaf beads and a little swirl to top them off!

A third variation of the Firework Orbitals-- this time totally girly and topped with "diamonds"!
